4-H LUCKY CLOVERS GO TO THE FAIR !
One more year, one more Fair, and many wonderful memories in the making! As always, 4-H Days at the 2018 Montgomery Fair were full of excitement, fun activities, yummy food, countless prizes, great Parade, scary rides, but most of all, it was an occasion for our Lucky Clovers to once again, get together, young Clover, Club leaders and Alumni, and enjoy !
The Lucky Clovers walking unit was a grand success winning a Blue Ribbon and First Prize! Please join me in thanking Tessa Charlery, Anna Martin and Bridget Ware for leading the walking unit committee and helping the kids to come up with fun and creative ideas for our club.
Congratulations also to the three Lucky Clovers who had winning cakes in the cake auction: Seth Martin, Leah McLean and Justin Wan. Fairwell and thanks to our 2017-2018 Fair Queen, Mindy Burton, and Fair King, Eric Charlery!
As always, our Lucky Clovers participated in force to the exhibits in the 4-H Building, winning many prizes in the many categories of painting, photos, clothing, and other types of exhibits.
A big thank you to Mrs. Martin, which led the preparation and entry of several entry clubs:
¨ Christmas Ornaments (1st Prize);
¨ Quick Bread Basket (2nd Prize);
¨ Cookies Basket (3rd Prize); and
¨ Non Perishable Breakfast Food Basket (3rd Prize).
Many thanks to all the Lucky Clovers who participated in our walking unit and to those who participated in the fair throughout the week and volunteer to help in the many activities, working on Thursday afternoon at the Cheese Booth, helping at the Kid Zone, or during the VIP day!!
