The Lucky Clovers are once again invited to provide demos
and interactive games at the Sandy Spring Museum’s Strawberry Festival on
Saturday, June 2nd from 9 am
(exhibit set-up) to 5 pm (exhibit break down) and Sunday, June 3rd
from 10am-3pm. This is similar to what we do at Maryland Day and the formal and
informal demos that are given in the 4-H building at the fair.
One activity that they definitely want is a make-and-take
craft, so we will repeat the clothespin butterfly craft, using fabric with a
strawberry or spring design. We will also set up our popular interactive game
on science for young children, Nutrition Jeopardy and possibly a few more.
We do not have much time left and we still have a number of
slots available for demos, crafting, and helping with the games. Lucky Clovers
should think NOW about a demo they can
do alongside the 4-H exhibit area. If you did a demo at a club meeting, please
consider repeating it that day! It even would be fine to repeat the demo you
did last year. There will be a sign-up sheet at the April and May meetings and
we hope to get everyone’s participation
