2018-06 Strawberry Festival

Lucky Clovers and Back in Time 4Hers,
Big thank you to all who came out today to support our efforts at the Strawberry Festival.  Despite the bad weather predictions, many families came out to enjoy the festivities and we had an steady flow of people visiting our 4H tent. The Petting Zoo, as always, was the major attraction and Martha, Patrick, and Terrin kept everyone fascinated with their vast knowledge about the animals they were showing.   The demos from Zoe, Penny, Seth, Eric, and Mia were engaging and interactive as well.

Thanks again to everyone for sharing your time and talent!

Ms. Ware

Dear Lucky Clovers,
What a day we had on Saturday! Who knows how many people stopped by our tent? It was busy nonstop. We really appreciated it when Ms. Ware brought us something to drink and something to eat. It was Heaven sent! Then Penny and Mrs. Martin stepped up to the plate and took care of Dowler, the guinea pig, and shared him with the patrons without being asked. It was just awesome! And out of nowhere Mr. Zhao and Brendan took a turn with the lamb, the hen, and the bearded dragon. It was our only break all day and was greatly appreciated. Somehow Mr. Zhao and his eldest son always no when to show up and they both love Pat, the bearded dragon.

On Sunday we ended the fair on a high note with an excellent demonstration on how to make an origami flower pot by Jason. He and his mom were a big help in carrying things to the car in the pouring rain.

It was great to have Leah with us again. While all this was going on the Guernseys were at the aerospace trials and Mia was in the fashion show after having worked all day at the Sandy Spring Museum Strawberry Festival. She did quite well but  I'll let her share her success story and I understand Shay did quite well and has a story to tell as well.

We're sorry we missed the other demonstrations and other activities since our animals kept us hopping. Thank you to everyone who helped and did demonstrations. It brought life to our tents.

Stay dry! Celebrate all your accomplishments and love life!

Sincerely,

Mrs. O'Hanlon & Patrick

Congratulations! to all who worked hard regardless of the weather problem.
Team work is the secret to all success .Sooo..... keep up the team work and the good work you all do.
You are happy and we are happy and proud of you too. It is always nice to see former  4-H members coming to help.

I hope you have some pictures we can share with others. May be someone  could write something including
some photos for our next news and notes, also some can be used for our slide show at the February  club recognition.
If you sent me some now I can  save them to use it   at the event Or have one of your tech youth help you to do that.
Even though it was  a last minute thing, the Lucky clovers youth did good with fashion review. I hope to see more youth ( boys and girls)for next year.

Thank you for all you do.
