4-H Lucky Clovers Club in Maryland Day 2018

On Saturday April 28, 2018, the 4-H Lucky Clovers Club had the delightful opportunity to volunteer at Maryland day. Our participation was a bit different compared to previous years, because we shared a table with the State’s Healthy Living program as well as assisted the State’s Agricultural unit with a milk experiment.
Club members Anita and Meghan Justin; Sabina, Katja and Bettina Mästle; Andres Guerra; Eric and Ayla Charlery; Justin Wan; Heather, Eric, Lauren, and Ryan Guernsey had the opportunity to play Jeopardy with young and old attendees to the activities. Everyone was laughing and having a good time. It was tremendous fun meeting many new people and seeing old friends who are involved in 4H. As in the past, the 4-H activities took place in the Courtyard between the Animal Sciences Building and the Plant Sciences Building. There were also in this area a lively communications competition, delicious free ice cream made from milk from University of Maryland's cows, and freshly grilled hot dogs and hamburgers.
Some of the 4-H volunteers had the chance to walk around the campus after they were done with their commitment. We were able to participate in fun games and activities such a model roller coasters, mini golf, and robotic birds that were scattered throughout the campus. I would encourage all of you to come next year. It is a great experience and loads of fun!
